I was going to see if there was any bands out there that are upset that we have no more great music venues for music we love. i was going to see if there was any bands out there that would love to play in the Beaumont/Mid County area again. There might be another venue opening for homegrown bands. and would like to know if anyone would be game. drop me a email and let me know your band name and some contact info.

A New Venue?

I met a chick that is thinking about opening a venue around here and she wants to know what I think. Wednesday we are going out so she can check out a few places and get my feedback on them.

Here's her original message:

"I have a property in mind to convert into a mid level venue. It is in Port Arthur and after a slight remodel and getting everything wired for sound I think it would be perfect. Curious if Beaumont Area patrons would travel to PA for a good small...

Hey guys, I heard a song on the homegrown local show the other night and I THINK it was called I like an E Wok, but I really dont know. It was almost like a rock ska type music, no lyrics I don't think.

Anyone else notice that the local music scene is not as big as it used to be? I remember around 4-5 years ago there were a ALOT of bands,just doesn't seem that way anymore..
